    This position will cover our Fort Myers / Cape Coral, FL area.

    The EEG Technician is responsible for performing routine tasks related to the operation of the EEG Department as well as assisting with patient related activities which are pre-determined for each patient. Performs neurodiagnostic examinations, monitors patient progress and records results. Maintains, complies, and prepares results for physician interpretation and archiving.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Transport equipment & supplies to patients’ homes
    • Securing equipment to patients in a polite manner necessary for an ambulatory EEG study
    • Desire to drive. You will be driving to patient’s homes for a good part of your day
    • Maintain patient confidentiality with HIPAA regulations
    • Organize and communicate patient paperwork with the home office and EMR system.
    • Be a positive and upbeat person that people enjoy working with (a must).

    • 1 to 3years experience as a EEG Tech Required
    • Respectfulness of patients’ homes and families
    • Schedule flexibility


    Education and/or Experience: 

    • Graduate of accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program Required


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    • American Heart BLS Certification Required
    • Required Registered EEG Tech credentialed by ABRET


    Computer Skills:


    • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, ACCESS, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Ability to type care coordination documentation directly into system.


    Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:


    • Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
