  • Overview



    Primary role is initiating, managing, coordinating, and monitoring the status of all commercial Property & Casualty insurance programs across the Premier Family of Companies by working directly with brokers/agents. Regulatory and insurance compliance for all government programs, commercial programs, and contracts must be implemented and maintained. Secondary function is to serve as a backup to other department roles which include Government-issued and/ or regulatory licenses, applications, credentialing, and contracting and to ensure compliance of same.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Determine implementation and need for new insurance programs or policies for new acquisitions, companies and/or clients
    • Determine the termination or reduction of policies as a result of sales or downsizing
    • Prepare and submit all documentation required for implementation, termination and the renewal and/or marketing of policies
    • Proof read and understand all policies that are in effect or proposed
    • Determine that there are no overlapping coverages or gaps in coverages
    • Identify and prepare written reports on potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk or recommend strategies to improve or evolve the programs and workflow processes
    • Identify patterns, trends and variances by auditing and monitoring programs
    • Develop and implement best practices, policies and procedures
    • Initiate, renew and update all Government-required surety bonding
    • Organize and maintain entity insurance and bonding portfolios
    • Maintain insurance database and track policy dates and renewal deadlines and execute same
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, etc.) to obtain or provide information or to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
    • Research any unknown or new aspect of any business requirement
    • Assistance with filling gaps within the department where needed
    • Special projects as assigned

    Education and/or Experience:


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • College Degree preferred
    • Experience working with Property & Casualty Insurances required, preferably for a brokerage or agency

    Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook


    Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:


    Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
