Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator recruits new talent, performs various administrative support duties to facilitate employee on-boarding, benefit administration and the general operational functioning of the Human Resources Departments and conducts HR-related and organizational initiatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates all employee onboarding, to include processing of pre-employment screens and execution of required documentation and E-Verify
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards company goals
  • Sets up newly hired employees in Human Resources Information and Payroll Systems and instructs in proper usage
  • Recruits for open positions as needed
  • Upkeeps employee information and documentation in HRIS and act as point of contact for troubleshooting HRIS and ATS issues
  • Respond to specific policy-related and procedural concerns and inquiries from employees and information and reporting requests from supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Administers employee benefits program
  • Maintains numerous employee databases (various employee lists, required documents received, organizational charts, access device spreadsheets)
  • Coordinates, reviews, and tracks introductory and annual performance appraisals
  • Initiates FMLA procedures
  • Assists with revision and drafting of new and existing policies and procedures
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews
  • Responsible for initial response to unemployment claims; partners with VP HR on appeals process
  • Prepares payroll on behalf of Vice President
  • Maintain department supplies
  • Maintain department E-Fax system, distribute and delete and necessary
  • Supports all Human Resources and Payroll staff as needed
  • Provide employee lists and various reporting to internal departments regularly and as needed
  • Assists HR and Payroll Supervisor and Vice President with projects as needed, often with high priority

  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in Human Resources Administration is preferred.


Education and/or Experience:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management is preferred.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


  • PHR certification preferred


Computer Skills:


  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook



Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:


Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone.  May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
