Overview

Summary:

 

Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day activities for the medical portion of the organization. This includes the management of treatment protocols, policies and procedures, quality, compliance, and billing, as well as the general management of the clinical staff. The clinical operations manager is responsible for overseeing employees and delegating work tasks throughout the department to ensure that the tasks are completed properly and in a timely manner. Clinical Operations Manager will partner with the Medical Directors’ to ensure workflow efficiencies are achieved within proper clinical and billing guidelines.  

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the clinical operations of the medical practice.
  • Ensuring staff compliance with set standards; hiring, training, and scheduling employees; and creating and managing contracts. 
  • Plan, coordinate, direct and supervise various elements that pertain to clinical treatment, quality and patient flow.  
  • The Clinical Operations Manager is also responsible for reviewing all internal policies and procedures to ensure complete compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Design patient services or implement work policies for employees.
  • Manage daily interactions with employees and patients.
  • Ensure that the day-to-day business is handled according to practice aim and medical guidelines.
  • Offer clinical guidance to individuals in this field
  • Responsibilities for workflow improvements that increase operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement standards of care for patients.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Medicare Part A and B billing and regulatory guidelines.
  • Knowledge of AHCA regulatory guidelines within a SNF or ALF.
  • Deliver clinical services within budget and use resources efficiently, identify, and apply for sources of funding.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate the performance of clinic staff/contractors/employees’.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information.

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Clinical Operations Manager job require a bachelor’s degree or clinical licensure (e.g Registered Nurse).
  • Healthcare environment experience within Skilled Nursing of Assisted Living facilities for five to 10 years’.
  • Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) software.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and complete them in a timely manner, as well as have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent health care experience is required.

 

Computer Skills:

Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and EHR software.

 

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
